Sunapee Recreation Committee minutes: June 22nd 2010
Attendees- Patricia Halpin, Chuck Weinstein, Leon Davey, Brian Garland, and Craig Heino.

Agenda 1: Bathroom Plans
A discussion was made that in order to save money and not go over budget we should change original plan. The idea was to use existing building and change the size of the bathroom doors and extend the deck in front of the main doors. Resident Ray Digiovanni came in with some material and labor estimates which he was confident would come under the $12,000 budget with original plan. After further discussion Brian Garland made a motion to stay with original design and move ahead with best price. Patricia Halpin 2nd.

Agenda 2: Tilton Park
        2a. Scott Blewitt received approval for disc golf course from Selectman. The course has been designed for 9 holes which could be expanded to 9 more in the future. The disc golf baskets were ordered and were received. Installation of playground and disc golf course will be 2nd week of July.
        2b. Tom Bennett mowed the course and around playground area.
        2c. Conservation gave the ok to remove some trees near parking lot and future pump track. Scott will speak to Andy Clifford about cutting trees. Patricia will speak to Tim Fleury about flagging the trees.
        2d. Patricia Halpin made motion to appropriate not to exceed $2000.00 for cutting of trees at Tilton Park for the pump track. Leon Davey 2nd.
        2e. Scott ordered the Tilton Park sign from Stockers which will be made of granite and will have the letters sand blasted into it.

Agenda 3: Dewey Beach
        3a. We received approval to remove and replace three dead trees at Dewey Beach. Scott spoke to Mike Kennedy and he will replace them with maple.
        3b. Jen Frederick gave overview of beach activities.
        3c. Scott will be going to Selectman for a new dog ordinance at both beaches.
Agenda 5: Spring sports
        5a. Baseball and softball teams had a end of the year social at Sanctuary Farm.

Agenda 6: 4th of July
        6a.
Scott went over 4th of July schedule. $6000.00 has been raised, $4000.00 is still needed.

        Chuck Weinstein resigned after ten years on the Recreation Committee. Thanks for all your years of dedication.
